Born a showbiz family in California, Blake Lively who quickly followed the footsteps of her parents. She was raised as a Southern Baptist. The youngest of five siblings, she has a brother, two half sisters and a half brother. Both of her parents and all of her siblings are, or have been, in the entertainment industry. During Blake’s childhood, her parents used to bring her in acting classes that they taught because they didn’t want to leave her with a babysitter. Watching her parents in acting classes helped her learn the drills of acting and gain confidence as she got older. As a child, her mom would always bring her to Disneyland twice a week as an opportunity to bond together.
She attended thirteen different schools. When she was three years old, her mother enrolled her in the first grade because her older brother was supposed to start school but he didn’t want to go alone. Not long, her mother took her out of school. Then she attended Burbank High School in Burbank. While attending in Burbank she joined choir and was a cheerleader. By 15, her brother took him on a tour to Europe for two months. While on the trip, her brother used most of the time trying to talk to Blake into having an acting career.
Blake Lively was not at all interested in acting but during summer between her junior and senior years, her brother, made his agent send her out on a few auditions over a period of few months. Her first role was “Trixie, The Tooth Fairy” in the 1998 movie Sandman which directed by her dad.
Her big break came along after few years later, though. Blake was up to finish high school when she got the co-starring role “Bridget” in The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. She also got her fame in different aspects of show business. By 2007, she was cast in the young- adult drama series Gossip Girl. One of the most acclaimed roles to date is her supporting role as playing the younger version of the title character in “The Private Lives of Pippa Lee” in 2009. She is also one of the actresses who starred in the movie “The Town” last 2010.
For her personal life, she dated actor Kelly Blatz for 3 years from 2004-2007; the two had been friends since childhood. In late 2007, rumors spread that she was dating her Gossip Girl co- star and former childhood classmate Penn Badgley. They had great time together and very open with their relationship. They ended their relationship in mid September- 2010.
Aside from all the careers she had achieve Blake enjoys cooking and consider it to be her hobby. She then owns one pet a copper colored Maltipoo dog.
During 2008 US presidential election Blake expressed her support for Barrack Obama over John McCain. She and Penn Badgley appeared in pro-Obama commercial, as part of MoveOn.org’s Youth Vote program.
