Carmen Electra grew up near Cincinnati, Ohio, in the town of White Oak. Her birth name is Tara Leigh Patrick and was born on April 20, 1972 and the youngest of the five children in the family; the daughter of Patricia, a singer, and Harry, a guitarist, and entertainer. She has the height of 5’3. Her heritage is Irish, German and Cherokee. She is also an American model, singer, television personality and actress.
Additionally, she got her first boost when a scout for Prince spotted her fronting for a rap group in Los Angeles in 1991 and changed her name to Carmen Electra. She released a self-titled album for Prince’s Paisley Park label in 1992. She then toured Europe as Prince’s opening act on his 1992 Diamonds and Pearls Tour.
She was a dancer at Kings Island Amusement Park in Ohio. Later, she returned to work for Prince at his Los Angeles nightclub “Grand Slam” where she performed there every weekend with the Erotic City dancers led by choreographer and director, Jamie King.
In 1997, she appeared in a cartoon form as the model for a character who is a singer at the same time as a vampire in a comic book series “Embrace”. By her sexy body, she was appeared as a co-star in Baywatch as lifeguard and as a host of MTV’s Single Out. She also ranked 10th of the 100 sexiest women by FHM (Taiwan), appeared in a Playboy magazine with a nude pictorial inside(Carmen Electra no clothes). She also regularly performed with the exotic dance troupe The Pussycat Dolls. Not only these she also appeared in a lot of films since 1997 American Vampire and Good Burger, 1999 The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human and the horror spoof Scary Movie in 2000. 2004, which is the remake of the 1970’s show Starsky & Hutch which she also appeared and won at the MTV Movie Award as the best kiss. In the succeeding years from 2006-2008 she appeared in the film Date Movie, Scary Movie 4, Epic Movie and Meet The Spartans.
Carmen Electra organized a fundraiser for Head to Hollywood, a non-profit organization which offers support to the survivors of brain tumors. There are also other charities which she supports include Elevate Hope, a charity which supports abused and abandoned children, and the Hollywood foundation, which provides medical, physical, and emotional support to those who are suffering from deliberating life circumstances especially Parkinson’s disease.
Electra married the basketball star Dennis Rodman in November 1998; however, the marriage did not last long. She filed a divorce on April 1999. After quite some time she once again married to a lead guitarist namely Dave Navarro from the rock band Jane’s Addiction. The couple documented their courtship and marriage in a MTV reality show called “Till Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave:” On July, 2006, she once again announced her separation with the lead guitarist and filed a divorce. In April 2008, Electra’s representative confirmed that she was engaged to Rob Patterson, a member of the new metal band Otep.
