Jennifer Anne Affleck more commonly known by her birth name, Jennifer Garner was born on April 17, 1972, and raised in Charleston, West Virginia by her mother Pat, a retired English teacher and her father Bill, a former chemical engineer. Jennifer was the middle sibling of three girls. She spent nine years of her adolescence studying ballet and describes her years in dance as ones characterized by determination rather than talent, being driven mostly by a love of the stage.

Jennifer took this determination with her when she enrolled at Denison University as chemistry major, a decision that was later changed to a drama major when she found that her passions for the stage were stronger than her love to science. New York attracted the young actress after college where she worked as a hostess while pursuing a career in film and television. Her most recent move to Los Angeles, a decision that led to a role on the show “Felicity” in 1998 and amazingly she met her future husband, Scott Foley. Nevertheless, the couple divorced in 2004.

Step forward Jennifer Garner having suffered a series of false starts and painful cancellations this American actress  also gained recognition on television for her performance as CIA agent in the thriller drama series “Alias” which aired for five seasons from 2001- 2006. While working on Alias, she gained minor roles in the hit movies such as Pearl Harbor in 2001 and Catch Me If You Can in 2002. Since then, she appeared in supporting as well as lead roles on the big screens in project including Daredevil, 13 Going On 30, Elektra and Juno by the year 2007. She married Ben Affleck who is an actor and director whom she has two daughters- Violet Anne Affleck and Seraphina Rose Affleck.

From her television drama series to her movie hits, she won a lot of award. She has received four consecutive Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in drama series and also received four Golden Globe nominations and won once, as well as received two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.

Garner had been stalked since 2002 by a man, Steven Burky, who was eventually arrested in December 2009, after violating a 2008 restraining order against him. Burky was charged two counts of stalking, to which he pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity in March 2010. He was ruled insane and sent to California state mental hospital with a court order to stay away from the Affleck family for 10 years if released from the hospital.

Aside from her interest being on stage, Jennifer enjoys cooking and gardening. She owned a yellow Labrador Retriever named “Martha Stewart” that appeared with her on the television show “Martha”.
